Stylish Modern WATERFRONT Cottage Near Mystic and Casinos
Charming modern open floor plan lakeside cottage in Griswold, CT. Our home is directly on the lake. We have a dock for swimming, 2 kayaks for boating, and we have an elevated screened in porch for you to enjoy the waterfront views. Take in the sunset at dinner time or while using the outdoor firepit. There is a king sized loft bedroom upstairs and a second queen sized bedroom downstairs. There is one fully updated bathroom.
The house is direct waterfront on Ashland Lake, a ponded section of the Pachaug River in Griswold, CT. You can fish, swim, kayak, canoe, and more right off the grassy backyard of our cottage home. Use our kayaks or bring your own if you prefer – you can boat right from our personal dock in the backyard.
The house has an open concept two story living room when you walk in the door with a tv and plenty of seating, fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, a queen sized bedroom, and a king size bedroom which has it’s own sitting area and work desk. Pets are also welcome with a paid pet fee.
Important: Sheets and towels ARE included with your stay. They are washed before and after every guest, feel free to use the laundry room during your stay as needed as well. We also provide a starter pack of paper towels, toilet paper, toiletries, cleaning products, soaps, detergent, sponges, k cups, nespresso pods, and tea!

Pachaug State Forest – The largest in the Connecticut state forest system ~ 12 minutes
Hopeville Pond State Park – multiple hiking trails on 400 acres of mixed woodland ~ 5 minutes
Stonebridge Farm – alpaca farm with open farm weekends ~ 8 minutes
River Ridge Golf Course – pristine golf course with idyllic views ~ 8 minutes
Mohegan Sun Casino/Arena – 20 minutes

Mystic Aquarium and Mystic Village – ~30 minutes

Although a short drive from Custer it afforded a quiet restful stay away from all the noise. Cabin was perfect for us.

My wife and I booked this to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The cabin was super nice and remote and quiet and the host could not have been any nicer! We will be back!
